Ewbank Cascade Carpet Shampooer - Usage Instructions Usage Instructions: Before use: Vacuum the carpet to remove surface debris before applying the foam shampoo. It is advisable to test the carpet for colour fastness prior to use. To do this, mix a little of the foam shampoo and water to the specified dilution, apply to a clean cloth and then clean a small area of carpet, ideally one which is normally hidden from view. Shampoo: For best results the Ewbank Carpet Shampoo should be mixed: 10 part water to 1 part shampoo or you can use the filling marks on the rear of tank produces the same results (10 to 1 mix). How to fill: Turn the filler cap at the top of the tank of the Ewbank Cascade Carpet Shampooer 1/4 turn to the right and remove. Markings on tank: Add water to the water level marked on the tank then add shampoo to the shampoo level for cleaning large areas. Replace the filler cap and turn 1/4 turn to the left. Press the handle release of the Ewbank Cascade Carpet Shampooer. Press down on the top of the handle release button then extend the handle by gently pulling upwards until handle locks in place. Using the trigger: When the handle is locked in positions you will feel a spring loaded action in the trigger. Cleaning: Squeezing the trigger will release the valve in the head of the Ewbank Cascade Carpet Shampooer allowing the shampoo and water mixture to be applied to the foam roller. Using short overlapping strokes the mixture will be applied to the carpet or rug. DO NOT OVERWET the cleaning area. Releasing the trigger will stop the flow of shampoo/water mixture. After use let the carpet or rug dry completely, then vacuum or use your carpet sweeper to remove the deposits lifted by the foam shampoo. Note: The drying of the carpet takes generally 3-4 hours.
