HG Grout Colour

HG Grout Colour Whiteis a unique product for colouring or re-colouring clean joints between glazed wall tiles. Following the prescribed drying time HG Grout Colour is both water and light resistant.

Clean the grout thoroughly before applying HG Grout Colour using HG Grout Cleaner to remove any soap residue, skin oils and other grime that may affect adhesion. For grout that has become black (mould) use HG Mouldspray.

To prevent HG Grout Colour from adhering to the glazed tiles, the tiled wall should be thoroughly cleaned using HG Blue or HG Scale Away.

HG Grout Colour is now only available in white. However in combination with universal and water thinnable pigment paste it can be mixed to any colour desired. White is most suitable for this purpose.

HG Hagesan Grout Colour Usage Instructions
Directions for Use: Fully cover the area around the surface to be treated. Using a scouring sponge or a brush, clean the grout thoroughly using HG Grout Cleaner to remove any soap residue, skin oils and other grime that may affect adhesion.

To prevent HG Grout Colour from adhering to the glazed tiles, the tiled wall should be thoroughly cleaned using HG Blue or HG Scale Away. Roughen up very smooth grout joints with the wire brush supplied to provide a key.

Rinse the tiled wall and grout well and allow it to dry (blow-dry if required).

All non-glazed surfaces (such as decorative edging or profiles) should be masked off before applying HG Grout Colour.

Stir HG Grout Colour White thoroughly (for at least two minutes) and apply liberally to the grout using the brush supplied. Allow the applied HG Grout Colour to dry for a minimum of one hour, but 2 hours maximum . The HG Grout Colour on the grout is now water and light resistant and fully hardened in 3 weeks.

Next, using a plant spray or a shower head keep the tiled wall wet be repeatedly spraying it with water for at least five minutes. This will make it possible to remove the HG Grout Colour from the glazed wall tiles.

Remove the excess HG Grout Colour from the glazed tiles using the sponge supplied or a soft scouring sponge. The colour on the grout will not be removed.

In case the HG Grout Colour fails to adhere in some areas roughen the grout using the wire brush supplied and repeat the treatment after rinsing and allowing to dry.

Note:If the HG Grout Colour proves to be difficult to remove using the method described, it is probably as a result of limescale deposits having remained on the tiles. In this case HG Shower and Washbasin Spray should be applied as follows: keep the tiled wall wet by repeatedly spraying it with the Shower and Washbasin Spray for at least five minutes. Then use the sponge supplied or a soft scouring sponge to remove the Grout Colour from the glazed tiles.

Coverage: 500ml is sufficient for 10-15 m² of tiled surface.

Attention: Do not apply HG Grout Colour White to epoxy or silicon grout, or to grout that has been treated with a water repelling product. Do not use HG Grout Colour below 5 ºC.
