HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer

Hardwood contains mineral elements which colour (become grey) when exposed to the elements. HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer has been specially developed for restoring the natural colour and appearance of your hardwood, and lasts for at least a full season outdoors.

Additionally HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer works deeply into the pores of the wood to ensure that it gives years of protection against stains, UV light and drying out.

HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer works quickly and is simple to apply to hardwood garden furniture, duckboards, fences, planters etc.

Sections that have turned very grey should preferably first be treated with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Colour Renovator.

If you prefer a spray-on product use HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Restorer.

Coverage: 10 m² per litre, depending on how much the hardwood can absorb.

HG Hagesan Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer - Instructions
Directions for Use:

Pre-Treatment of grey coloured hardwood and / or hardwood with weather stains.

1. Treat grey coloured hardwood beforehand preferably with HG Hardwood Garden Furniture Colour Renovator.

2. Treat hardwood with Mildew Stains with a suitable mildew remover for wood.

3. Rinse off the hardwood well with clean water and allow to fully dry.

Treating the hardwood:

1. Cover or tape all areas which are not to be treated.

2. Apply HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer with a brush following the wood grain and let it soak into the hardwood.

3. If the hardwood is still absorbent after HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer has been applied then a second thin coat can be applied after 10 minutes.

4. Remove any surface HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer with a dry fluff-free cloth.

5. After 24 hours the hardwood is capable of taking a load; after 48 hours the product is completely hardened.

Coverage: 10 m² per litre, depending on how much the hardwood can absorb.

Caution:

+ Only apply HG Teak and Other Hardwood Restorer to unstained and unvarnished hardwood.
+ The stated soaking-in time and drying times apply at a temperature of between 15-25 ºC and a relative air humidity of 50-60%. If conditions are more unfavourable then you should allow for longer soaking-in and drying time.
+ Clean brushes with turpentine before the product has dried in.
+ After opening, the product can be kept for up to 2 years or more, providing it is stored in sealed packing.
+ We would recommend that you also treat new hardwood. As preparation, sand paper the hardwood and clean off all dust.

Saftey Measures:

+ Cloths used for application can spontaneously combust if put away bundled. This can be avoided by laying the cloths out flat to dry fully.
+ Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
