Bartoline Barbecue Lighting Fluid is a quick, simple, safe and effective way to ignite traditional charcoal barbecues. Enables charcoal to burn evenly, rather than having ‘hot spots’ created by solid firelighter type ignition methods, resulting in an even temperature over the coals. The product is non-explosive and will not flash so is also useful as a starter for bonfires.

Bartoline Barbecue Lighting Fluid Usage Instructions

  1. Read label before use.
  2. Pour charcoal into barbecue.
  3. Hold the base of the container firmly and remove bottle cap by pushing down and turning anticlockwise.
  4. Tilt the bottle forward toward the grill and gently squeeze the bottle so that the lighting fluid evenly covers the charcoal.
  5. NEVER SPRAY THE LIGHTING FLUID ONTO LIT COALS.
  6. Replace cap immediately and store the container in a safe place away from barbecue.
  7. Allow time (approx 30 seconds) for lighting fluid to soak in.
  8. Using a long match or piece of paper, ignite the lighting fluid.
  9. The charcoal will ignite and burn for a short time.
  10. Wait until flames have died down and ensure that the lighting fluid is completely burned and the charcoal has ashed over before placing food on the barbecue grill.
