Rustins Surface Cleaner is a blend of powerful solvents which will remove accumulated wax and dirt from furniture without harming the original finish. If the furniture has only been waxed, the wax will be completely removed, leaving bare wood. It is advisable to test on a small area. It is ideal for cleaning antique and old furniture and will not destroy the patina that has been acquired due to age.
Type: Blend of powerful solvents formulated to remove grime and wax.
Intended Use: Ideal for use on antique and old furniture where wax and dirt has accumulated.
Special Features: Will not destroy attractive patina that has been acquired due to age.

Rustins Surface Cleaner Usage Instructions
Preparation: Ensure gloves and eye protection are worn and that there is adequate ventilation.
Application: Apply the cleaner with a soft cloth, or if the wood is very dirty, use 0000 steel wool. If the wood is open grained use a coarser grade of steel wool. Wipe the surface with a clean rag or kitchen towel whilst the surface is still wet otherwise the cleaner will evaporate re-depositing the wax and dirt on the furniture.
Drying Time: The surface that has been cleaned should be dry within 90 minutes.
Re-coating Time: Once the surface is dry then it is ready for coating or waxing.
Application Temp: Ideally 10-25°C.
Compatibility: If after cleaning, the surface is dull but intact, the gloss may be restored with Rustin’s Finish Reviver which will also remove minor defects.
Settlement: Shake before use.

Shelf-life/Storage: A considerable period of time provided the product is stored in an airtight and container. It is preferable to store the product in a cool place an ensure that the cap is replaced.
