Briwax Quick Dry Hard Wax Oil gives a clear satin finish that is hard wearing, water and stain resistant that will dry to an attractive, durable, natural finish. Suitable for use on internal woodwork subject to a high degree of wear. Briwax Quick Dry Hard Wax Oil is easy to apply and maintain, leaving a wear, water and stain-resistant finish to woodwork.
Type Water based and quick drying. A blend of castor oil, that dries to a hard, durabletransparent finish, resistant to stains, alcohol and water
Special Features Low odour. Non-yellowing on ageing. Quick-drying. Wash brushes in water. Generally, has very little effect on the colour of the timber it is applied to.

Intended Use Bare wood, hardboard, MDF, unsealed cork, concrete, stone, unsealed quarry and terracotta tiles. Interior use only.
Preparation The surface must be clean, smooth, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminants. Read the full instructions on the tin. Nail holes and small cracks may be filled with Rustins Wood Fillers.Bare wood may be dyed before coating with Briwax Wood Dye. Other brands of dye, stain or paints may be incompatible. Do not apply Knotting or Sanding Sealer.
Application Using a lint free cloth, synthetic brush or varnish roller, apply evenly and liberally, finishing in the direction of the grain and wipe of the excess.
Coats Apply 3 coats according to the coverage rate. More absorbent surfaces or commercial premises may require 4 coats. Important: If there is any grain raising after the 1st coat has dried, lightly sand the surface smooth before applying the next coat.
Drying Time Typically 2 hours for oil to be completely absorbed
Application Temp. Ideally between 15-25 deg. C. Do not apply below 10 deg. C
Coverage Approx. 20-30 sq. metres per litre depending on the absorbency of the wood
Maintenance Periodic re-oiling is required. Clean surface before refinishing using warm water and mild detergent
Settlement Stir well before use.
Shelf-life/Storage Many years in original sealed packaging if stored in cool, dry conditions.
Clean-Up Clean up with warm water and detergent.
