  Bartoline Bitcote Black Bitumen Paint has been synonymous with high-quality Bitumen products for decades, and has become established as a brand leader. Manufactured from carefully selected Bitumens dissolved in a unique petroleum solvent mix, Bitcote is easy to apply and benefits from having anti-rust, waterproofing, flexible and durable properties. Touch dry in approximately 4 – 8 hours at normal temperatures with a glossy finish, turning dull after a period of time. Bitcote has been extensively used by the agricultural community for many years for protecting fences and barns.

  An outstanding anti-corrosive solution for brush application on a wide range of materials including steel and iron fabrications, timber, concrete and brickwork. It may also be used as a coating for vehicle chassis.

• How to use

  Bartoline Bitcote Black Bitumen Paint Usage Instructions

  As with all surface coatings preparation is of great importance and will influence the degree of adhesion obtained and the life of the coating.

  All surfaces must be sound, stable and thoroughly clean and dry. Metal surfaces should be wire brushed to remove rust. Where long term protection is required an initial treatment of a rust inhibitive product should be used. Apply by brush or spray. A minimum of two coats of Bitcote should be applied, the first being allowed to dry before the second. Apply the second coat at right angles to the first.

  Clean application tools with Bartoline White Spirit.

  THIN WITH NO MORE THAN 10% BARTOLINE WHITE SPIRIT FOR SPRAYING.
  DO NOT APPLY ORDINARY PAINTS OVER BITCOTE.
  DO NOT APPLY WHERE MINERAL OILS OR SOLVENTS WILL COME INTO CONTACT.
  DO NOT USE IF SURFACE TEMPERATURE CAN RISE ABOVE 70⁰C.
  DO NOT USE ON TARMACADAM DRIVES, ROADWAYS etc.
