Beeswax in its natural, solid form cannot readily be used for polishing furniture. But it has a whole variety of other uses, including:

– Easing the runners of stiff drawers 
– In furniture restoration as a filler for cracks and holes 
– In wood turning 
– For waxing certain yarns in machine knitting 
– Waxing thread to make it easier to thread a needle
