  Polyvine Heavy Duty Interior Floor Varnish Satin Finish 1 Litre

  This Heavy Duty Floor Varnish from Polyvine is an ultra-hard, high-quality varnish with a satin finish. Specially formulated for interior floors, it dries in minutes to a crystal-clear film and cures in 16 hours. With excellent sanding properties, you can achieve a very high-quality finish. Use on: Internal wood, Stone, Slate, Wood, Wooden floors, Cork tiles, Quarry tiles, Staircases, Wood and MDF, Woodwork and Interior wood.

  It’s been specially formulated for floors and areas of high wear, giving ultra-tough protection against scuffs and scrapes in high traffic areas.

  Coverage: 10-20m² per litre, 100-200 ft² per quart.

• How to use

  Polyvine Heavy Duty Interior Floor Varnish Satin Finish Usage Instructions

  Preparation:
  1. Thoroughly sand in the direction of the grain to remove all traces of old finishes and dirt, oil and contamination.
  2. Old floors can be impregnated with wax and grease – this will cause failure and must be completely removed.
  3. On new wood or if the old finish is in good condition, lightly sand to provide a key.
  4. Thoroughly clean after sanding.
  

  Application: Ensure the product is well mixed but DO NOT shake. Apply 2-3 coats of varnish, with a synthetic brush. On new softwood and porous surfaces dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain.

  • Drying time: 30-60 minutes
  • Recoat time: 1-2 hours
  • Cure time: 16 hours in ideal conditions. Allow 48 hours before heavy use eg. furniture dragging, and several days before covering with carpet.

  Note: Always apply to a test area before starting work.
  Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats.
  Do not apply over uncured oil paints.
