British Basics All Purpose Small Appliance Descaler Usage Instructions

Kettle: Ensure that the kettle is unplugged. Pour 200ml of descaler into the kettle, top up with water and leave overnight. Empty and fush out. Rinse thoroughly before use.

Coffee Machine: Pour 100ml of descaler into a jug, add 500ml of water and stir. Add to reservoir and turn on machine for one minute. Switch off, leave overnight then boil remainder of liquid through the machine. Rinse out thoroughly by boiling at least two full reserviors of clean water through the machine before use. Clean the jug.

Steam Irons: Ensure iron is unplugged and cold. Pour 50ml of descaler and 50ml of water into jug and stir. Add soloution to reservoir. Place iron horizontally in an empty plastic bowl ensuring the flex and plug are kept away from any liquids, allow the liquid to drain through the holes. Repeat the above process using clean water to remove any residues and clean base before using iron. Clean the jug and plastic bowl.

Showerheads: Do not use on plated fittings. Pour 50ml of descaler into a wide container (not sink or bath), add showerhead and sufficient hot water to cover. Stir and leave for 20 minutes. Wash off thoroughly with clean water before using showerhead. For heavy deposits of limescale repeat the process until clean.
