Hotspot Flue Free Chimney Cleaner loosens tar and creosote by reacting with their acids and breaking them down. Its absorbent agents then dry and shrink the deposits, making them easy to remove or fall away naturally. 90g
Hotspot Flue Free Chimney Cleaner works by rising with the flue gases and reacting with the acids in tar and creosote deposits, breaking them down into a fluid state. Absorbent agents then draw out moisture, causing the deposits to dry, shrink, and lose their grip on the chimney walls, allowing them to fall away naturally or be easily removed during sweeping.

It is advisable to arrange for the chimney to be swept prior commencing treatment. Hotspot Flue Free Chimney Cleaner should be used on a regular basis to reduce the frequency of chimney sweeping, however regular sweeping is essential. Chimneys should be inspected once or twice a year to ensure clean and safe conditions.
Usage Instructions: 1. Remove excess ashes or cinders. 2. Sprinkle 2 scoops of Hotspot Flue Free Chimney Cleaner onto a low fire twice per week, (effectiveness drops when applied to high fires) and allow up to 1 hour to burn powder fully. 3. If no evidence of improvement is noticed, increase dosage frequency. 4. Use double dosage for fires over 75000 BTU, in wood/solid fuel cookers/boilers or if chimney area is abnormally large.
PLEASE NOTE: Loosened creosote can cause chimney blockage if initial deposits are heavy or if initial dosage/dosage frequency is excessive.
Maintenance: Under 75,000 BTU – 2 tablespoons twice weekly. 75 – 150,000 BTU – 2 tablespoons four times weekly. Over 150,000 BTU – 2 tablespoons daily.
