Liberon Spirit Wood Dye Teak Usage Instructions

Preparation:Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any existing finishes, wax, oil or grease etc. Sand thoroughly and remove any dust.

Application: Shake well before use. If more than one tin of dye is required to complete the work mix the tins together to ensure a uniform colour. Apply one liberal coat of Spirit Wood Dye with a brush or cloth, working with the grain wherever possible, allow the stain to penetrate, then remove the excess with a clean cotton cloth. For a stronger colour, apply a second coat after 4 hours. When dry, Liberon Spirit Wood Dye may be finished with a water-based varnish, wax, oil or French Polish.

Precautions:
· Make sure you have sufficient dye to finish the work. If more than one tin is required, mix the contents together in a clean container to ensure a uniform colour.
· Do not mix spirit based dyes with water based dyes
· Do not mix with white spirit based dyes
· Caution must be taken when using French polish and Shellac base sealers as over brushing may remove the stain.
· Application of a second coat may lift the first coat.
· Caution must be taken when using oil based finishes over Liberon Spirit Wood Dye. Keep brush strokes to a minimum as over brushing may lift out the colour.

Important: Always test product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility and end result.
Different types of wood produce different results.
