Provides a thin carbon coating for highly energy efficient infra-red heating solutions. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Contains pure graphene.
The Rustins G-Therm is based on high-quality water-borne, cross-linking acrylic resin and contains pure graphene providing reliable electrically heated coatings that operate in the long wave infra-red range. G-Therm is solvent-free with low emissions but has high adhesive properties. It can be applied under all commonly used emulsion paints, concrete, drywall and clean organic plasters. It can also be used directly under clean organic renders. G-Therm has a low electrical resistance value and ensures uniform heating of coating when connected to a power source with DC or AC voltage. The effectiveness of the G-Therm coating was tested and certified at NPL the national measurement standards institute for the United Kingdom.
Size: 1 Litre
Preparation: The surface must be clean and free from grease, wax, etc. If already painted, remove flaking paint by scraping or use Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper.
Application: Stir well before use until there is no sediment at the bottom of the tin. Do NOT apply at temperatures below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity. Apply liberally with a synthetic fibre bristle brush. This paint must be applied evenly.
Walls & Ceilings: Up to 3 layers of coating can be applied to achieve the required value of electrical resistance of the coating. The specific resistance of one layer of coating 80-100 microns thick is 1-2 Ohm/square. The maximum heating temperature of the coating is up to 180°C and depends on the magnitude of the supply voltage.
Recoating Time: The paint will be touch-dry in approximately 30 minutes depending upon the temperature and humidity and can be re-coated after a minimum of 3 hours. Protect from rain for a minimum of 24 hours.
Coverage: 1L will cover approximately 5-6sq m per coat
Cleaning: Remove as much paint as possible and return to the container. Brushes should then be cleaned immediately with water. If the brushes become hard, they may be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer or Rustins Cellulose Thinners.
Disposal (pollution prevention): Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste paints/ varnishes/ coatings. Do not empty this product into drains or watercourses.
Storage: Store in a cool place. Keep away from children. Close the open paint jar tightly after use and store it in a cool place for no more than 12 months. Protect from frost.
