Rustins Quick Dry Anti-Corrosion Metal Primer Red
Rustins Quick Dry Anti-Corrosion Metal Primer Red protects metal surfaces from rusting. It can be used on old or new metal and may be painted straight onto rust. It binds to the surface making it ideal for vertical surfaces and reacts with any rust that it comes into contact with. This will neutralize the rust and prevent any further corrosion.
Intended Use: On all bare metal for interior and exterior use
Special Features: Formulated with rust converters to prevent further corrosion and can be applied direct to rust. Can be left as a matt finish or over painted. For interior and exterior use.
Coverage: 10m² per litre per coat depending on the surface

How to use
Rustins Quick Dry Anti-Corrosion Metal Primer Red Instructions
Preparation: For use on bare surface should be clean and free from rust and grease and any other contaminants. Remove existing finishes with Rustins Strypit Paint and Varnish Stripper. If the metal is rusty, remove loose rust with a wire brush, then treat surface with Rustins Rust Remover.
Application: Use a good quality brush and apply evenly. Apply primer liberally, ensuring the surface is covered completely. Can also be applied with rollers.
Coats: 2 coats are usually enough. Sand lightly between coats if required.
Drying Time: Touch dry in approximately 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
Re-coating Time: Approximately 2 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not apply outdoors if rain imminent, humidity is high or below 10⁰C.
Maintenance: The surface may be washed with a mild detergent solution and a scrubbing brush and re-coated if necessary.
Compatibility: May be applied over other paints but test for compatibility as the paint may dry glossy.
Settlement: STIR VERY WELL BEFORE AND DURING USE, or the product may dry with a satin/gloss finish.
Clean-Up: Remove excess product from brushes before cleaning. Clean brushes whilst wet with water. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustin’s Brush Restorer.

Shelf-life/Storage: 2 years from date of manufacture if stored in original tightly closed container in cool dry conditions.
