Rustins Quick Dry Chalky Paint Blenheim Blue is designed to revive and give your furniture a new lease of life. Suitable for use on interior work, it contains wax and dries to a velvety flat matt finish. Very little preparation is required to receive the desired look as it can be painted over most previously coated items. If using over previously coated surface, test a small area for compatibility. Get the shabby chic look by painting your furniture with multiple coats then distressing it by lightly sanding down small areas using fine sandpaper or Trollul 0000 Steel Wool. Contains wax and does not finger mark.
Type: Formulated with water borne acrylic emulsion, pigments and extenders to provide excellent opacity and a smooth chalky surface feel. Available in matt white and pastel shades. Intended Use: For use on bare wood, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork and cement to produce a smooth touch flat matt finish. (Not for direct application to metals). Can also be used as a finish coat over existing wood and metal primers and paints. For interior use. Special Features: Quick drying. Low odour. Wash application equipment in water. Excellent covering power. One coat is usually sufficient to completely cover previously painted surfaces giving a smooth chalky matt finish to an article. Priming and sanding may not be necessary on some substrates.
Coverage Approximately 13m² per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Preparation: Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contaminants. When used to prime bare wood, knots must be sealed with Rustin’s Knotting. Fill holes and cracks with Rustin’s Wood Filler after priming.Compatibility: Compatible with many paint products, May be tinted with water-borne tinting bases, but must be tested for compatibility first. Not for use as a metal primer. Metals must be primed using Rustin’s Red Oxide Metal Primer. Not a stain-blocking product. If unsure, test on a small inconspicuous area before proceeding.Application: Apply liberally and evenly with a synthetic short fibre brush or roller. For brush application, the primer coat may be thinned by mixing 5 parts with 1 part water if necessary.Settlement: Stir well before use and ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.Coats: One coat over primed surfaces. A minimum of 2 coats are required on bare substrates.Drying Time: Touch dry within 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.Re-coating Time: 2 hours minimum, depending on temperature and humidity.Application Temp. Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity.Settlement: STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.

Shelf-life/Storage: Many years in a cool, dry place if stored in original, tightly closed container. Do not store below 5°C. Protect from frost and extremes of temperature.Hazards: Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Eyes and skin should be rinsed immediately if contact occurs with plenty of water. Seek medical attention.
