Description
Rustins Quick Dry Decking Stain and Seal Antique Pine is a quick drying waterborne stain which dries to a tough, water resistant, matt finish.
Intended Use: Protection of timber decking.
Type: Coloured water-based acrylic stains, Gives long lasting protection to all external wood, while allowing the natural grain to show through.
Special Features: Low odour, non-yellowing, resists cracking, peeling, blistering. Contains biocide to protect from algae/mould.
Coverage 12-15m² per Litre, per coat, depending on absorbency of surface.
Colour: Antique Pine – Also available in Brown Cedar and English Oak

How to use
Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease and contaminants, smooth and sound. Fill large cracks, open joints and damaged areas with Rustins Professional Wood Filler. Remove mould, lichens, algae & moss with a stiff garden brush or a scraper. Rustins Decking Cleaner can be use for cleaning. Do not apply to damp timber as this will prevent the product from penetrating the timber and adhering causing the product to flake off.
Compatibility May be applied over old existing coatings if these are in good condition. If applying over wood preservatives test on a small area to ensure the varnish dries and adheres well.
Application Using a synthetic brush, apply liberally with a full brush. The first coat may be diluted with water on hot days (up to 15%). Do not apply to hot surfaces or in strong sunlight if possible. Subsequent coats will darken the colour. Do not apply when rain is expected.
Settlement STIR WELL BEFORE USE
Coats 2 coats, but for best protection apply 3 coats.
Drying Time Touch dry 30 minutes. (On hot days may be touch dry within 10 minutes).
Re-coating Time 4 hours minimum, depending on temperature & humidity.
Application Temp. Ideally 15-25°C. Do not apply below 10°C, in high humidity or if rain is expected.
