Rustins Quick Dry Red Oxide Metal Primer Usage Instructions

Preparation: The surface must be clean, smooth, sound, dry, free from wax, dust and contaminates. The bare metal should also be free from rust. Existing rust may be removed with Rustin’s Rust Remover.
Application: Use a good quality brush and apply evenly.
Coats: 1 coat is usually sufficient. A second coat may be applied if required. Sand lightly between coats if required.Drying Time: 30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.Re-coating Time: 4 hours.
Application Temp: Ideally 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C, or in conditions of high humidity or if rain imminent when using outdoors.
Maintenance: The surface may be cleaned with a mild detergent solution or White Spirit as necessary. Worn areas may be re-coated once cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key.
Compatibility: Must be over painted with an undercoat before application of top coat.
Settlement: STIR WELL BEFORE USE.
Clean-Up: Remove excess product from brushes before cleaning in water. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustin’s Brush Restorer.

Shelf-life/Storage: Many years if stored in original tightly closed container in cool dry conditions.
