Case of 6 x HG Hagesan Terracotta Shine Seal 1 Litre

HG Hagesan Terracotta Shine Seal is an alternative to HG Terracotta Wax which gives Terracotta tiles a shining finish and protects the floor against the deep penetration of dirt and stains.

The coating of HG Terracotta Shine Seal is very durable, easy to maintain (does not require regular buffing) and is impervious to most household chemicals. 

If the floor is porous this will need to be treated first with HG Impregnator to reduce its porosity and to ensure a good base to sustain the HG Terracotta Shine Seal.

For regular maintenance cleaning of a floor treated with HG Terracotta Shine Sealuse HG Terracotta Clean and Shine which both cleans and extends the life of the finish.

HG Terracotta Shine Seal is easy to remove when necessary with HG TerracottaRemover.

Directions for use:

If the floor is porous this will need to be treated with HG Impregnator to reduce its porosity and to ensure a good base to sustain the HG TerracottaShine Seal.

Apply HG Terracotta Shine Seal only on clean, dry floors. If necessary clean off any grout film from new floors with HG Extra or HG Limex. Any underfloor heating should be switched off.

Use HG Terracotta Shine Seal neat. Do not HG Terracotta Shine Seal pour directly onto the floor. 

Apply HG Terracotta Shine Seal with either a Non-Fluffy Cloth (perhaps wrapped around a floor mop), a Mohair Paint Roller. (not foam or wool) or with a wax-applicator moistened with HG Terracotta Shine Seal. Apply thinly and evenly in one direction. Several thinly applied coats are better than one thick coat.

Allow HG Terracotta Shine Seal to dry for at least 45 minutes before applying the next coat to achieve a smooth shining finish over the whole floor. The floor can be walked on after approximately 3 hours. After 3 days HG Terracotta Shine Seal is completely hardened. 

The stain resistance of the floor can also be increased by applying additional coats of HG Terracotta Shine Seal.

Maintenance: For regular maintenance cleaning of the treated floor use HG Terracotta Clean and Shine which both cleans and extends the life of the finish. Old worn coatings can be removed when finally necessary with HG Terracotta Remover without stripping the HG Impregnator underneath. Clean tools afterwards with water.
