1. Prior to applying HG Tile Protector the floor must be completely clean and free of grease and dust.
To clean off grout residues, cement film and lime deposits use HG Cement Grout Film Remover Product 11.
For intensive cleaning to remove grease, wax, dirt or old polish use HG Power Cleaner (Polish, Wax and Dirt Remover) HG Product 19.
After wet cleaning, the floor should be left to dry thoroughly for 3 days. With floor heating 24 hours. Turn off your floor heating 12 hours before treatment.
2. On new floors the glue/cement and grouting must be completely hardened and dry. The drying time is usually 4-6 weeks.
3. Existing porous surfaces such as slate, brick or flagstones first use HG Impregnating Protector (HG Product 13) .
4. To avoid foam, do not stir or shake the bottle before use. HG Protective Coating Satin Finish should be applied with a wax applicator or a Non-Fluffy Cloth wrapped around a Floor Wiper.
On rough surfaces, use a Mohair Paint Roller.
5. Pour some HG Protective Coating Satin Finish onto the floor and spread it in straight tracks in one direction. Do not rub or buff.
6. Once the HG Protective Coating Satin Finish has dried after approx. 40 minutes a second coat should be applied at right angles to the first.
7. The floor can be walked on about 3 hours after the final treatment but allow three days for the HG Protective Coating Satin Finish to become fully hardened and water resistant.

TIP: For regular maintenance of the protective film we advise mopping the floor once a month with a solution of 50ml (half a cup) of HG Tile Protector in half a bucket (5litre) of water.
In walkways where the protective film is more liable to wear, a new protective film can be quickly and easily applied over the existing layer, when necessary. In such cases first clean the floor using HG (Shine Cleaner) Shine Restoring Tile Cleaner (HGP17).
To strip off old coats of HG Protective Coating Satin Finish when refreshing the layer no longer has the desired effect use HG Power Cleaner (Polish, Wax and Dirt Remover) HG Product 19.

Attention: This product should be used indoors only, but not in rooms that can be wet, such as bathrooms.
