PLEASE NOTE: All our Shipping Charges are inclusive of VAT.

Standard Delivery - Orders less than 2kg will be charged at a price based on weight for delivery via Royal Mail. Orders over 2kg are despatched via UK Mail / DHL, Whistl or DX Secure and charged at a flat rate of between £6.95 - £8.95 (depending on weight and size) including VAT. There is no minimum order value.

Restricted Deliveries:

For deliveries to the following postcode areas, please ensure you select the following from the Delivery Location drop down menu in the basket. Deliveries made to the following postcode areas as shown in the table below, that require courier services due to the item(s) purchased being either prohibited or too large/heavy for Royal Mail, will carry a higher shipping charge than the flat shipping rate shown above due to the distance involved. The shipping charge will be shown at checkout and be between £11.95 - £16.95 (depending on postcode) including VAT.

AB Postcodes: Cover the boundary between the Highlands and the Lowlands. Courier charges apply to some and not to others. If your delivery location is an AB Postcode, you may be contacted for an additional payment to cover the courier charge if required.

The table above outlines the correct Delivery Location to select should the desired delivery address fall inside the above postcode areas. Selecting the incorrect location for your postcode may result in your order being invalidated or incurring additional shipping costs where Royal Mail services cannot be utilised.

European Deliveries:

Since the completion of Brexit, we are no longer able to offer European Deliveries.

Delivery Schedule:

Delivery of your products should be made within 2-5 working days of the dispatch date confirmed in the email confirmation for Standard Delivery or 1-2 Working days for Mainland Express Delivery. If an item is out of stock you will be notified and given the option to hold the order till the item is in or you will be able to cancel the item with a full refund of that product.

You will receive e-mail confirmation when your order has been despatched. If the item is via Royal Mail please look out for the package as it may be too big to fit through a letterbox and may need to be collected from your local Post Office or Royal Mail Depot.

If the order has been despatched via DX Secure or DHL you will receive a consignment number, which can be used to track the order online at

Please use the DX Secure or DHL tracking service or contact your local Post Office or Sorting Office prior to contacting Homecare Essentials about the non-delivery on your order.

We occasionally use a delivery option known as "Insight", this is where we will utilise Whistl couriers to transport your order by road to your local area where the package would be handed over to Royal Mail for the final "to the door" delivery. When this occurs, you will receive a tracking number for the Whistl portion of the journey which will culminate at the local area Royal Mail delivery depot for your postcode. The tracking will then be updated to reflect Royal Mails acceptance of the package and will read as " With Royal Mail for delivery".

One Shot Drain Cleaner: This product falls under Government restriction and requires additional information to be received by email prior to the order being released. This is a requirement of law and will override any delivery schedule selected at checkout.

Order Not Received:

Non-Delivery of items must be reported to us no later than 14 days of the expected delivery date. All online orders are e-mailed a despatch confirmation to the e-mail address given when the order was placed and all phone orders will be given an indication of expected delivery date when placing the order.

Failure to notify us of a non-receipt of order within 14 days of the expected delivery date may result in any claim being invalid.
