The major cause of maggot damage to apples and pears is the caterpillar of the codling moth. Control of this pest in the garden is very difficult using insecticides unless applied shortly after egg laying. The Agralan Codling Moth Trap uses pheremone scent of the female moth to attract and catch male moths. This provides a warning as to if and when control measures are needed.
Contents: 1 trap with hanging wire, 2 sticky inserts, 2 pheremone lures.
The trap should be set from early May. Please refer to instructions on assembly and placement of the trap.
