Rustins Quick Drying White Primer and Undercoat Usage Instructions

Preparation Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contaminants. When priming bare wood, knots must be sealed with Rustin’s Knotting. Fill holes and cracks with Rustin’s Wood Filler after priming. As an undercoat over existing paint, the surface must be cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key before application.
Compatibility  Compatible with many paint products, such as Rustin’s White Gloss Paint and Rustin’s Quick-Drying Radiator Enamel. Not for use as a metal primer. Metals must be primed using Rustin’s Red Oxide Metal Primer.
Application Apply liberally and evenly with a synthetic fibre brush or roller. For brush application, if necessary, the primer coat may be thinned by mixing 5 parts with 1 part water. Do not thin when applying as undercoat.
Clean up Clean brushes and hands immediately after use with water. If dried on, clean equipment and brushes with Rustin’s Brush Restorer.
Settlement  STIR WELL BEFORE USE. Ensure any sediment is thoroughly mixed in.

Drying Time Touch dry within 30 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity.
